NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Senior
Emily Johnson took sole possession of the St. Olaf College women's soccer team's all-time goals record with two more goals in the Oles' 5-1 non-conference victory over UW-Stout Polytechnic on Monday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.
After tying the record on Saturday, Johnson broke a tie with Karen Schwartzbauer '87 and Lindsay Howard '12 and brought her career total to 41 goals by scoring twice in the win for St. Olaf (5-0-3). After a goalless first half, Johnson scored in the 49th minute to break the deadlock and record and again 10 minutes later after UW-Stout (3-3-2) had tied the game with its lone shot on goal of the game.
Johnson, who entered the afternoon tied for the NCAA Division III lead with 10 goals this season, finished the game with two goals and one assist to move within one point of Howard's all-time program record of 96 career points. Senior

Lillian Rediger and
Tatum Klassen netted the first goals of their collegiate careers in the win.
After a scoreless first half where St. Olaf outshot UW-Stout by a 10-2 margin, Johnson opened the scoring in the 49th minute by scoring in a 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper after Rundle played her through on goal. The Blue Devils got the goal back less than six minutes later when Kayla White tapped in a loose ball in the box after a shot off the crossbar off a free kick on the left wing.
The Oles responded to the goal by reclaiming the lead less than four minutes later on Johnson's second goal in a 10-minute span. Rundle again set up the goal, playing the ball to Johnson at the top of the box before Johnson turned and rifled a shot into the upper portion of the goal. Johnson and Rundle reversed roles in the 62nd minute when Rundle turned in a Johnson cross off a free kick for her second goal in as many games.
Rediger made it four St. Olaf goals in the span of less than 20 minutes by blocking a clearance that looped over the goalkeeper and in for Rediger's first collegiate goal in the 68th minute. Klassen also tallied her first collegiate goal by heading in a corner kick by first year
Aida Engle in the 80th minute. The assist was the first point of Engle's career.
St. Olaf recorded 16 of the game's 17 shots on goal and held a 24-5 advantage in overall shots. Kristen Silenzi made seven of her 11 saves in the opening half to keep the visitors in the game. Sophomore

Clara Luger did not have a save to make in the game for the Oles.
The Oles will return to conference play with a home game against Augsburg University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
