Blane Tetreault was named recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach in March, 2017.
 
Tetreault founded and operated Preptree.com, a successful athletics recruiting social network, from late-2012 thru early-2017. The company is notable for its partnership with the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and related high school recruiting events and combines.
 
Prior to being a business owner, Tetreault coached from 2005-12 at the University of St. Thomas (Minn.). He served as defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, recruiting coordinator, linebackers and defensive backs coach during his tenure. He helped the Tommies improve from 2-8 in 2007 to 13-1 and a NCAA Division III national semifinal appearance in 2011. Tetreault coached four all-region players and one All-American at St. Thomas.
 
During the 2003-2004 seasons, Tetreault was a graduate assistant at Rowan University (N.J.). He coached the outside linebackers and defensive backs during his tenure and helped Rowan advance to the NCAA Division III national semifinals in 2004.
 
Tetreault graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and from Rowan University with a master’s degree in public relations. He was a scholarship student-athlete at Northern Illinois University prior to finishing his playing career as an all-region linebacker and captain at St. Thomas. He also served in the United States Marine Corps for six years.
 
Tetreault graduated from Fridley High School and helped lead the Tigers to a state championship and a state semifinal game appearance. He was born in Sturgis, S.D., and grew up in the Black Hills-area.
 
Tetreault resides in Inver Grove Heights, Minn., with his wife Bridget and daughters Amelia and Eleanor.
