Tony Barnack

Tony Barnack is in the first season of his second stint (eighth season overall) as a member of the St. Olaf football coaching staff in 2025-26 and works primarily with the wide receivers.

Barnack returned to the Hill in 2025, bringing over 30 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. He previously served on the Ole football staff from 2009-15, coaching kickers, punters, long snappers, tight ends and wide receivers under head coaches Jerry Olszewski and Craig Stern.

Prior to his return, Barnack spent nine seasons as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Tri-City United High School. Before joining St. Olaf in 2009, he was the head coach at Montgomery-Lonsdale and Glenville-Emmons, also working extensively with offensive and defensive lines early in his career.

In addition to his coaching duties, Barnack teaches visual arts at Tri-City United High School in Montgomery, Minnesota.

Originally from Alexandria, Minnesota, Barnack is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato (formerly Mankato State University), where he earned his B.S. in Art Education.

He and his wife, ReBecca, reside in Lonsdale and are proud parents of three adult sons: Ben, Sam, and Dan.
