Tony Moonen is in his second season as a member of the St. Olaf football coaching staff in 2024-25 and serves as the defensive line coach and social media manager.
Prior to coming to St. Olaf, Moonen spent the 2022 season coaching at Delano High School, serving as the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator. While there, Moonen coached a special teams unit that was in the top 10 in Minnesota high school football in several statistical categories, including punt yards and punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
Prior to coaching at Delano, Moonen was part of the coaching staff at Hamline University in 2021, working as a defensive and special teams assistant. Before that, Moonon was an assistant defensive coach and special teams coordinator at Cesar Chavez High School in Laveen, Ariz. in the COVID-shortened 2020 season.
Moonen graduated from Augsburg University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business management.
