David Leafblad is in his fifth season as an assistant coach for the St. Olaf men’s basketball program in 2021-22. He assists with the program’s recruiting, as well as with game and practice planning.
During Leafblad's time with the program, the Oles have made the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs in all three seasons the tournament was held and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2017-18. St. Olaf is a combined 48-37 (.565) overall and 36-24 (.600) in the MIAC over the last four seasons.
Prior to coming to St. Olaf, Leafblad, who coaches AAU for Minnesota Select, was an assistant coach for the boys varsity team at Blaine High School. He also coaches a variety of basketball camps and is a basketball instructor for the Minnesota School of Basketball.
A graduate of Bethel University, Leafblad resides in Blaine, Minn.
