Tom Langfeldt

Tom Langfeldt is in his 31st season as an assistant coach for the St. Olaf men's basketball program in 2025-26 after joining the staff in 1994.

During Langfeldt's time with the program, the Oles have won over 300 games and have made four NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018). With Langfeldt on staff, St. Olaf has qualified for the MIAC Playoffs 13 times, including 10 times in the last 14 editions of the tournament, has advanced to the semifinals in seven of the last 11 years, and won the tournament in 2013-14 and 2015-16.

Langfeldt has coached basketball for the last 45 seasons at various levels. A 1981 graduate of St. Olaf, Langfeldt was the assistant boys' coach at Northfield High School (1982-87) and the head girls' coach at Cannon Falls High School (1989-93). At the collegiate level, Langfeldt was the assistant women's coach at Carleton College from 1987-89.

Langfeldt, who is in his 39th year of teaching at Cannon Falls High School, and his wife, Sherri, reside in Faribault. They have 10 children (eight of which they adopted), two sons-in-low, and two granddaughters.
