The 2018-19 season is Jeff DeGree's first season of his second stint as a member of the St. Olaf men's hockey coaching staff.
DeGree was previously an assistant at St. Olaf during the 2015-16 season and most recently was the head coach at Colorado State University for the last two seasons. At Colorado State, he led the Rams to their first national tournament at the ACHA Division I level. In 2017, DeGree was named the Coach of the Year in the Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL) and was nominated for the ACHA National Division I Coach of the Year award.
Prior to his first stint at St. Olaf, DeGree served in various leadership roles with the Minneapolis (Storm) Youth Hockey Association, most recently as the Director of Coaching. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing the recruiting, selection, placement, development and training of over 200 coaches in association with over 700 youth players.
DeGree and his wife, Andrea, have two boys, aged 21 and 15.
