Liam Vance '24 is in his second season as an assistant coach for the St. Olaf men's soccer program in 2025-26 following a four-year career as an Ole. He also works as an admissions officer on campus.

In his first season on the coaching staff, St. Olaf went 15-4-4 (.739) overall and 8-0-2 (.900) in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after earning a share of the MIAC regular-season title and winning the MIAC Playoffs for the third season in a row.

After his first year was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vance played in 64 games and started 25 times for St. Olaf from 2021-23, tallying 21 points on seven goals and seven assists. He was part of the winningest three-year run in program history, as his teams went a combined 54-11-6 (.803) overall and 25-2-3 (.883) in MIAC play, while winning two MIAC regular-season titles, two MIAC Playoff titles, and the 2023 NCAA Division III national championship. Prior to its first national title, St. Olaf made back-to-back runs to the "Sweet 16" in 2021 and 2022.

A former standout at Totino-Grace High School, Vance graduated from St. Olaf in 2024 as a double-major in environmental studies and political science. He was a two-time Academic All-MIAC honoree, a 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection, and a 2022-23 Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
