AT ST. OLAF
2015 (Senior) - Played in nine games and started in one… Had two shots on goal. 

2014 (Junior) - Played in ten games, started in seven.  He had an assist in the 4-1 victory over Concordia-Moorhead on Sept. 27 and had three shots on goal with a 1.000 SOG%.

2013 (Sophomore) - Started in one of four games played.

2012 (First Year) - Played in eight games.  He had one assist in the 10-1 win versus Bethany Lutheran on Oct. 2.
 
AT ST. PAUL CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
Van Why graduated with High Honors.  He was named All-Conference senior and junior years and All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore.  He captained the team his final season and was a four-time letter recipient.  He had 12 career goals and 30 career assissts.  Van Why also played baseball, recieving one varsity letter.
