Chris Kuna is in his fourth season as the head men's tennis coach at St. Olaf in 2022-23 and also serves as an assistant coach for the women's tennis program. Kuna took over the men's program from longtime head coach Scott Nesbit on July 15, 2019.

Through his four seasons, Kuna has led St. Olaf to a record of 19-29 (.396), including a mark of 11-19 (.367) in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). After his first season of 2019-20 was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kuna's teams have posted three-straight six-win seasons.

In 2022-23, St. Olaf went 6-12 overall and 3-6 in MIAC play, with four of its 12 defeats coming against non-Division-III competition during its trip to Florida. Under Kuna's guidance, Bogdan Vizoli was named the inaugural MIAC Rookie of the Year and collected All-MIAC honors in both singles and doubles, while senior Henry Smith earned Honorable Mention All-MIAC honors in doubles.

During Kuna's time at St. Olaf, St. Olaf had four All-MIAC singles players, five All-MIAC doubles honorees, and two Honorable Mention All-MIAC doubles selections.

Kuna's teams have also excelled in the classroom, as St. Olaf picked up its seventh Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team accolade in the last eight seasons and had eight ITA Scholar-Athletes in 2021-22. The program has also produced 13 Academic All-MIAC honorees over the last two seasons.

Prior to being named the head coach of the men's program, Kuna spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's programs under Nesbit after coming to St. Olaf in 2016-17.

Kuna played four years of tennis at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 2008-12, winning a combined 166 matches in singles and doubles and was the runner-up in doubles at the 2009 Wilson ITA Midwest Regional. He spend two seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater and was a tennis instructor at Life Time Fitness prior to coming to St. Olaf.

Kuna was a member of two state championship tennis teams at Edina High School, where he was a four-year letterwinner and four-year all-conference player. He placed third in the state tournament in doubles as a senior.
