NORTHFIELD - Minn. -
Joe Carney led St. Olaf with two goals as the Oles
defeated the U-18 Norwegian National team 5-1 in a men's hockey exhibition on
Wednesday night.
Carney started the Oles off early in the first period on a goal assisted by
Joe Blake and
Jake Heck.
St. Olaf added to their lead in the second with goals from Peter Lindbald
and
David Rath.
After Markus Soberg scored Norway's lone goal in the third period, Carney
and
Ole Setsaas both scored again for the Oles, making the score 5-1.
Setsaas,
Nick Marsh, and
Jack Nicoll also added one assist apiece on the
night. St. Olaf goaltender
Henrik Wood finished the night with 10
saves.
St. Olaf will play the College of St. Scholastica at home on Friday night.
