PhotosNORTHFIELD Minn. - Aryton Scott rushed for two and threw for another two touchdowns as Augsburg College scored 21 points in the first quarter on the way to to a 38-20 MIAC football victory over the St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon at Manitou Field.
Down 21-0, St. Olaf responded with 13 second quarter points.
J.J. Strnad scored twice for the Oles. His two-yard rush got the Oles on the board in the quarter before
Nate Penz completed a 17-yard pass to
Joel Reinhardt for the second touchdown. Strnad scored the third and final touchdown for the Oles in the fourth quarter.
Scott rushed for 89 yards while throwing for 242 on 16-of-27 attempts. Penz was 15-for-28 for 149 yards and a score, but was intercepted twice.
Augsburg managed 436 offensive yards compared to St. Olaf, who had 289.
St. Olaf plays at Hamline University next Saturday in St. Paul.
