Oles defeat St. Kate's in five sets

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Devon Flohrs had 18 kills as the St. Olaf volleyball team defeated St. Catherine University in five sets (25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 23-25, 17-15) on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.

Abby Carpenter added 14 kills while Kathryn Johnson and Maggie Prunty had 10 each in the win. Alyssa Besch had 21 kills and Megan Lindenfelser 14 for the Wildcats (9-9).

The Oles (7-7, 1-1 MIAC) fell behind 6-4 in the final set before a 4-1 rally, helped by three SCU errors and a Sophie Schwartz kill.

St. Olaf will be back home again on Saturday afternoon to face Hamline University.
