NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The St. Olaf women's track and field team opened the 2015 indoor season with a triangular at Carleton College Recreation Center Friday evening.
The Oles officially finished with 106 points, good for second place. The host Knights won the event with 111 while Hamline, which did travel a full squad, ended with 28.
St. Olaf dominated the 3,000 meter run as
Jamie Hoornaert paced the field with a time of 10:45.92. The Oles also had the next three finishers as
Morghen Philippi,
Kelsey Coulter and
Michaela Banz finished second, third and fourth, respectively, behind Hoornaert.
The 4x400 team of
Megan Holmes,
Madison VanWylen,
Jordan Lutz and
Dani Larson topped the event with a 4:12.59. St. Olaf won two more events as MashaÂ
Grizhebovskaya won the 55 meter hurdles with a 9.27. Larson finished second.
Michaela Bolden topped the weight throw.
