Ben Figini had 23 points and
Justin Pahl 21 as St. Olaf cruised to an 85-61 MIAC men's basketball win over visiting Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday afternoon at Skoglund Center.
St. Olaf (9-1, 4-1 MIAC) led 46-27 at the half and made 34-of-37 from the free throw line to improve to 4-0 at home this season.Â
The Gusties (7-2, 3-1 MIAC) were paced by Sergio Najera's 16 points.Â
Figini was 8-for-11 from the field and Pahl 3-for-6 from three-point range as the Oles used runs of 9-0 and 14-4 late in the first half. Gustavus got within 12 with 12:05 to play, but the Oles scored seven of the next nine to put the game away.
Sterling Nielsen added 14 points and four assists in the win for St. Olaf. Isaac Tapp had 11 for Gustavus.
