NORTHFIELD, Minn.-
Nick Marsh scored his second goal in as many games but the St. Olaf men's hockey team fell to Williams College (MA) 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Northfield Ice Arena.
Williams College (7-2-1) scored the first three goals of the game, two in the second period, and led 3-0 after two periods. The Ephs held a 30-28 shot advantage.Â
St. Olaf (3-9-1, 2-3-1 MIAC) scored on the power play with 3:31 to play in the third period. The goal was Marsh's second goal in as many days and mark his first two goals of the season. The Oles finished 1-for-3 on the power play while holding Williams College scoreless in four chances with the man advantage.
Steve Papciak made 27 saves in a losing effort. St. Olaf is winless this season when allowing three goals or more in a game.
The Oles return to action Friday, January 9 at home when they take on Northland College at 8 p.m. The St. Olaf women's team will host Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 5 p.m. before the men's game.
