NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Brenden Johnson scored the lone goal in the 12th minute to give the Oles a 1-0 MIAC victory at home against Augsburg on Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson's shot came from the left side of the field off of an assist by
Kevin Skrip. St. Olaf (10-6-1, 6-2-1 MIAC) dominated the game from a shooting standpoint, firing off 24 shots compared to only two from Augsburg (6-9-2, 3-5-1 MIAC). The Oles also led in corner kicks with a total of 10 compared to one for the Auggies.
Jens Undlin led the team with four shots on goal over five shots, while
Kevin Skrip totaled six shots in addition to the assist to Johnson.
Randall Rude earned the shutout improving his record to 4-1-1.
The Oles travel to play their final regular season match on Saturday against MIAC rival Saint John's University.
