NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Augsburg College completed a two-game sweep of the St. Olaf men's hockey team with a 5-3 victory over the host Oles on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
The Auggies raced to leads of 2-0 and 4-1 with two late first period goals -- by Will Peterson and Eric Brenk -- and two scores in a span of 3:34 in the second period. St. Olaf had back-to-back goals from
Drew Otto and
Peter Lindblad to get within a goal, but Augsburg held off a late charge and picked up an emtpy-net score by Drew Anderson with 51 seconds left for the final margin.Â
The Oles' other goal came from
Patrick Sivets at 9:02 of the second.Â
St. Olaf (2-7-3) will visit UW-Stout next Saturday in its final game before the New Year.
