ST. PETER, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's basketball team defeated Gustavus 65-60 on the road Monday night at Gus Young Court.
Ben Figini had a game high of 24 point and added three assists in the win. Just Pahl finished with 14 and
Riley Aeikens had 12 in the win.
Figini started the game out strong and scored the first eight points for the Oles within the first three minutes. He went 7-of-15 from the field and 10-of-15 from the free throw line, while Pahl was 2-of-4 from three point range.
St. Olaf
(8-5, 6-2 MIAC) led 44-33 at the end of the first half. Gustavus (5-8, 2-6 MIAC)
came out strong in the second half and went on a 12-4 run in the first five minutes. A Riley Sharbono three-pointer tied the game at 54 a piece. The Oles made free throws down the stretch to clinch the win. Sharbono and Brian Jacobs led the Gusties with 11 points each, Peter Kruize finished with nine.
St. Olaf's next contest will be at Macalester on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
