Justin Pahl had 25 points,
Ben Figini 21 and
Riley Aeikens 20 as the St. Olaf men's basketball team defeated Hamline 87-73 on Saturday at Skoglund Center.
The Oles (11-8, 9-5 MIAC), who shot 80 percent from the field in the second half, went on a 15-2 run to break a 51-51 tie. Pahl had 23 of his 25 points in the second half, going 7-for-9 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range. Aeikens didn't miss from the floor in the second half, making all six attempts.Â
Zach Smith had 20 of his team-high 23 in the second half for the Pipers (4-14, 2-11 MIAC). He chipped in seven assists in the loss, while Herbert Tarpeh had 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Oles were efficient on offense, collecting 23 assists against only six turnovers. St. Olaf shot 58.9 percent for the game, including 7-of-13 from long range.
