WALLA WALLA, Wash - Ninth-ranked Whitman College pulled away for a 108-78 win over visiting St. Olaf on Friday night in a men's basketball game at the Sherwood Center.

St. Olaf led by as many as six in the first half and had a 39-38 advantage with 5:11 left in opening 20 minutes. Whitman then used a 16-5 rally to close the first half and an 11-3 run to open the second half. Whitman forced 25 St. Olaf turnovers and shot 56 percent from the field.
St. Olaf finishes its trip with a meeting with No. 12 Whitworth tomorrow in Spokane, Wash.
