NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Drew Otto scored twice and had an assist as the St. Olaf men's hockey team defeated Lawrence University 4-1 on Saturday at Northfield Ice Arena.
Caleb Callaway and
JT Paine also scored for the Oles, who had a 25-save performance from
Eric Hancock. Callaway had the game's first goal at 2:17 of the first on a backhand breakaway winner on a long pass from Sawyer Jacobsen. Otto's first goal came on assists from
Steven Sherman and
Will Dittrich on a power play at 9:43 of the first to make it 2-0. Sherman had two assists in the win.
Lawrence got within a goal on Mikkel Joehnk's score at 1:12 of the second. Paine countered with a goal on assists from Sherman and Otto at 8:40 to make it 3-1.Â
St. Olaf was 2-for-4 on power plays and held the Vikings (3-4-0) scoreless on two tries.Â
The Oles host Marian tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Â
