MOORHEAD, Minn. - Concordia College raced to a 15-point first half lead and held off a flurry in the second from St. Olaf in a 69-56 MIAC men's basketball victory over the visting Oles on Saturday at Memorial Auditorium.
Austin Nelson had 25 points and Dylan Alderman 18 for the Cobbers (4-3, 2-1 MIAC). Concordia did damage from three-point range, making 6-of-13 while the Oles were only 3-for-20.
St. Olaf was led by
Noah Beck's 11 points. The Oles used an 11-0 run to take a 38-37 lead early in the second half. But the Oles then managed only one field goal over the next eight minutes as the Cobbers responded with an 18-2 rally.
The win was the 600th career victory for Concordia head coach Rich Glas, who spent much of his career at the University of North Dakota.
