RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Host UW-River Falls used a 10-1 run over a six-minute stretch in the second half to pull away from St. Olaf on the way to a 66-51 men's basketball victory on Friday night at the Karges Center.
Alex Herink had 13 points to lead a balanced UW-River Falls (9-1) attack. Eleven different Falcons scored. Chris Laymon added nine points and Garret Pearson eight and 10 rebounds.
Robert Tobroxen had a game-high 15 points and
Nate Albers 11 off the bench for St. Olaf (3-4).
The Falcons won the game on the glass, holding a 44-31 edge. Albers was 2-for-5 from three-point range and Tobroxen 1-of-1, but the rest of the Oles were 1-of-14. The Falcons weren't much better, going 5-for-24 from deep.
St. Olaf returns to MIAC play with a road test at Saint John's on Monday.
