MENOMONIE, Wis. - UW-Stout scored twice in the first period on the way to defeating St. Olaf 3-0 on Saturday night in men's hockey game.
Riley Colvard and Justin Moody scored in the opening 20 minutes for UW-Stout. St. Olaf managed only 18 shots on Blue Devil goaltender Etienne Roy, who picked up a shutout in his debut as a starter.
Jude Hull took the loss for St. Olaf, making 28 saves and allowing two goals. Â
St. Olaf has a long layoff ahead. The Oles return to action on Jan. 6 with a non-conference game against UW-Stevens Point. St. Olaf returns to league play Jan. 13-14 with a series against Saint John's University.Â
