Robert Tobroxen had 19 points, eight rebounds and four blocks while
Austin Majeskie added 14 points as St. Olaf defeated Gustavus Adolphus College 69-65 on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.
Peter Kruize had a game-best 22 points and Spencer Tollefson had 17 points for the Gusties (2-3, 2-1 MIAC).
St. Olaf (3-3, 1-1 MIAC) led by 11 at the half and by 15 early in the second. Gustavus charged back and was within a possession, at 50-48, with 11:12 to go. The Oles then scored the next seven points and held the advantage to the finish.
The Oles held a 23-12 advantage in bench scoring, led by
Nate Albers' 10 points and
Noah Beck's eight. Otherwise, the game was fairly even. St. Olaf shot 52.9 percent (27-of-51) from the floor and Gustavus 45.3 percent (24-of-53). Gustavus was 5-for-14 from three-point range while the Oles were 4-of-12.
