NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Gustavus scored a goal with one second remaining in regulation to force a 1-1 tie between the St. Olaf men's soccer team and the Gusties on Saturday afternoon at Rolf Melby Field.
Kyle Leemon scored the first goal of the match for St. Olaf (2-1-3, 0-0-2 MIAC) in the 56th minute on a breakaway. Â
Henrik Kowalkowski was on for the assist. Â
Aaron Miller led the Oles in shots with four, and as a team, St. Olaf fired nine shots on goal against Gustie goalkeeper Matt Bateman. Â In goal for St. Olaf,
Randall Rude faced four shots, saving three.
Gustavus (1-6-1, 0-1-1 MIAC) scored a goal in the 90th minute and at the last second with a header by Patrick Roth, assisted by Isaac Bloom. Â Roth led the Gusties with two shots on goal.
St. Olaf plays their next match away at Wartburg College on Wednesday night.
