NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Nate Albers had 17 points off the bench as St. Olaf rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat host St. Thomas 64-56 on Wednesday night at Schoenecker Arena.
Albers was 4-for-9 from the arc and 6-for-6 from the line as he paced four Oles in double-digits.
Frank Delaney had 16 points,
Robert Tobroxen 13 and
Austin Korba 10 in the win. Delaney was 8-for-13 from the floor.
UST (9-4, 5-3 MIAC) was led by Elijah Hannah's 13 points. The Tommies used a 15-2 run midway through the first half and led by as many as 17 points early in the second half. UST had a 39-22 lead with 18:40 left before the Oles unleashed a 9-0 run to make the game relevant at 39-33.
The Oles later used seven straight points to get within two and took the lead on a Delaney dunk with 4:23 remaining. The Tommies went almost nine minutes without a field goal to close the game. Michael Hannon hit a three with 8:48 left and another with the game in hand for the Oles with eight on the clock. Hannon finished with 12 points.
Tobroxen had 10 rebounds and Albers nine as the Oles outrebounded the Tommies 45-31.
