Eric Hancock stopped 33 shots to earn a shutout victory as St. Olaf defeated Saint John's 2-0 in a MIAC men's hockey game on Friday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
Drew Otto netted the game-winner for the Oles (4-10-1, 2-5-0) at the 3:44 mark of the second period.
Will Dittrich and
Tobias Gabrielsen had assists on the goal.
Hancock stopped 15 shots in the second period and 12 in the final 20 minutes as St. Olaf picked up its second straight MIAC victory.Â

JT Paine added an empty-net score with 16 seconds left for the final margin.Â
SJU goaltender Tyler Nelson stopped 23 shots and allowed one goal in the loss.Â
The teams meet tomorrow night at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud in the series finale.Â
