Nate Albers had 19 points and
Robert Tobroxen 18 as St. Olaf raced past Macalester 78-60 in a MIAC men's basketball game on Saturday at Skoglund Center.
Austin Majeskie added 14 points in the win for St. Olaf (4-7, 2-4 MIAC), which snapped a four-game losing skid in the process. The Oles shot well in the second half going 16-for-27 from the field and 6-of-9 from three-point range to pull away in the game, which was tied at the half. St. Olaf outscored the Scots 15-3 over a six-minute stretch midway through the second half and led by as many as 23.
Michael Gutierrez had 13 points and Dylan Kilgour 11 for the Scots (4-7, 0-6 MIAC). Macalester had 18 turnovers while St. Olaf had only seven to go with 16 assists.
Albers was 6-of-10 from the floor and 3-of-6 from three-point range while Tobroxen nearly had a double-double, pulling in nine rebounds.
St. Olaf will play at St. Thomas on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
