NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Gustavus Adolphus College posted a 3-1 MIAC men's hockey victory over host St. Olaf in the league opener for each school.

Colton Schmidt and Dominic Picciano scored first period goals for the Gusties (1-1-0). Logan Haskins added a third period goal at 4:03 on assists from Axel Hallin and Caleb Anderson.

Roshen Jaswal scored the Oles' lone goal with 46.9 seconds left in regulation. Charlie Widmar and Gordon Wells picked up assists on the tally, which came with an extra skater.

Jude Hull made 28 saves in the loss for the Oles (1-2-0) and Chris Amsden had 22 in the win for Gustavus.
