NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Augsburg University in five sets -- 25-21, 19-25, 22-25, 25-19 and 15-10 -- in the MIAC volleball opener for each school on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.
Lauren Rewers had a match-high 21 kills,
Haley Langeslag 29 digs and
Lexi Wall 46 assists as St. Olaf moved to 8-2 overall, the program's best start since 2009.
Corrina Evans had 13 kills and Macey Terhell 29 digs to lead the Auggies (7-2).
St. Olaf held Augsburg to -.095 hitting in the fifth and deciding set.
The Oles will play at UW-River Falls this weekend with matches against Saint Ben's, host UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point and Finlandia.
