NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's hockey team (6-8-1, 3-4-0 MIAC) was shut out 5-0 by Hamline (6-10-1, 2-6-1 MIAC) on Friday at Northfield Ice Arena.
The Oles took 25 shots in the game but the Piper's goalkeeper Evan Roberts saved all of them.
Mitch McPherson scored once in the first period and again in the second to lead the Pipers with two goals. Brandon Reinholz, Russ Jordan, and Riley Tigrett scored goals for the Pipers as well.
The loss was the first time this year the Oles have been shut out.
Next up for the Oles is a road game at Hamline on Saturday.
