ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's hockey team rallied for a shootout victory after Hamline University and the Oles skated to a 2-2 tie on Saturday night at Tria Rink. 

Trailing 2-1, the Oles' Connor Smith scored at the 13:43 mark of the third period to send the game to overtime. St. Olaf put pressure on in the extra session, with four shots to the Pipers' one, but the game remained tied to force the shootout. 

Jude Hull, who made 28 saves, stopped the final two Hamline attempts in the shootout.  St. Olaf (6-8-2) missed its first attempt but made the final two, getting a score from Drew Otto and the clincher from Tobias Gabrielson. 

Sawyer Jacobson had the Oles' other goal, one that tied the game at 1-1 late in the first period.
