NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Robert Tobroxen nailed three-pointers on two straight possessions inside the final two-plus minutes as St. Olaf won its sixth straight with a 75-68 MIAC men's basketball victory over visiting Bethel University on Wednesday at Bob Gelle Court.
The Oles (15-5, 11-4 MIAC) had five in double figures, led by
Austin Korba's 20 points. Korba had 15 in the first half and added a team-best six rebounds.
Dominic Bledsoe added 16 points and
Nate Albers 12. Tobroxen and
Frank Delaney had 10 each as St. Olaf shot better than 50 percent from the field (54.3) for the fourth time in the last five outings.
Bethel was led by Granger Kingland and Riley Dearring, who had 15 points each. Bridgeport Tusler added 12 off the bench and Matt Ambriz had 11.Â
St. Olaf raced to a seven-point lead (14-7) before the Royals countered with an 11-0 run later in the first half to take a 32-26 lead. The Oles came back to tie it (35-35) at the break and had a seven-point advantage midway through the second half. The Royals tied it twice, at 58-58 and later at 65-65, before Tobroxen's threes sparked a 10-0 run to all but clinch it.
