Men's hockey plays to tie, loses shootout to Bethel in series opener

BLAINE, Minn. - St. Olaf and Bethel University played to a scoreless MIAC men's hockey tie on Friday night, and the Royals came away with a shootout victory in the series opener.

Jude Hull made 30 saves and stopped two of the four attempts in the shootout, but the Oles managed only one made try from Drew Otto. 

St. Olaf had 31 shots on net, but the Royals' Joe Sheppard stopped each. 

The Oles were 0-of-3 on the power play, and BU 0-for-2.
