NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's track and field team tallied four first-place finishes at the Ole Invite on Friday at Tostrud Fieldhouse.
Johanna Glaaser won the 600-meter run, posting a career-best time of 1:40.06, which currently ranks sixth in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), and
Ann Jansen added a career-best distance and first-place finish for the Oles in the long jump with a distance of 5.06m.
Another first-place finish came from a 4x400 meter relay of
Mackenzie Schoustra, Jansen,
Jena Hauch and
Lisa Fisher, posting a time of 4:14.61.
Emily Bohlig tied for first in the high jump and tallied a career-best at 1.57m. Bohlig's high-jump finish currently ranks seventh in the MIAC.
Hayli Marquette took second in the long jump with a distance of 4.91m, and
Mary Naas (10.54.96) tallied second-place finish in the 3000-meter run. Marquette (1:51.34) also competed in the in the 600-meter run and was third.
Laura Kammer competed in the 200-meter dash and the 60-meter hurdles. With a time of 9.71 in the 60-meter hurdles, Kammer picked up a fourth-place finish, good for seventh on the all-time St. Olaf list, and currently sits at eighth in the MIAC. In the 200-meter dash, she placed third with a time of 29.23.
Fisher finished third in the one-mile run with a time of 5:22.42, and
Meredith Moore (5:27.82) was fourth, followed by
Ellen Mickelson (5:34.30) in fifth.
Lauren Markowski (11:40.91) was third in the 3000-meter run, followed by
Megan Rossman (11:41.58) in fourth and
Holly Gordon (11:42.54) in fifth.
Katie Spray added a third-place finish in the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:36.66, followed by
Amy Requa (3:53.85) and
Rebekah Crail (4:04.87) in fourth and fifth.
In the shot put, Grimes posted a career-best distance of 10.81m, good for a third-place finish, and
Kierra Carter (9.28m) was third in the triple jump. Grimes also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, where she tallied a career best time of 9.86 and placed fifth, and in the high jump (1.37m) where she was fifth.
Lori Erlandson (10.02) placed sixth with a career-best time in the 60-meter hurdles, and another fourth-place finish came from
Maya Gitch in the 60-meter dash, as she recorded a career-best time of 8.95.
A 4x400 meter relay of
Lucia Ranallo,
Olivia Gossard,
Ellen Kemp and Spray, the Oles collected a fifth-place finish with a time of 4:52.77, along with a fifth-place finish from Gitch (29.99) in the 200-meter dash.
The Oles return to action on Thursday, Feb. 21, for the first of three days of the MIAC Indoor Championships at Tostrud Fieldhouse.
