NORTHFIELD, Minn. –
Johanna Glaaser recorded a second-place finish and led the St. Olaf College women's track and field team to a sixth-place finish at the conclusion of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon at Tostrud Fieldhouse.
Glaaser's second-place finish and time of 1:35.40 in the 600-meter run sits at second in the all-time list at St. Olaf College. With her second-place finish, she picked up eight points for the Oles.
St. Olaf finished the MIAC Championships in sixth with a total of 58 team points. St. Thomas (197) placed first, while Hamline (113.5) was second and Carleton (72.5) was third.
With a 4x400 relay of
Ann Jansen,
Makenna Ash,
Katie Elstad and Glaaser (4:04.04), St. Olaf registered six team points as the relay placed third, while finishing seven seconds faster than the seeded time, and
Paige Woldt scored as she placed fifth in the triple jump at 10.74 meters.
A relay of Glaaser, Elstad, Jansen and Ash scored five points and placed fourth in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:47.78, five seconds faster than the relay's seeded time.
Mackenzie Schoustra also scored for the Oles in the high jump as she finished sixth at 1.56m.
St. Olaf is back to action on Friday, Mar. 1 for the Last Chance Meet in Waverly, Iowa.
