ST. PETER, Minn. – Nationally-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College proved too much for the St. Olaf College men's tennis team, as the No. 12-ranked Gusties blanked the Oles, 9-0, on Saturday at Swanson Tennis Center.
Gustavus (7-2, 3-0 MIAC) won the three doubles matches by identical 8-2 scores and took all six singles matches from St. Olaf (1-3, 1-2 MIAC) in straight sets.
The Gusties got doubles victories from the pairs of Yassine Derbani/Nick Aney, Joel Hug/Joseph Punnoose and Lawrence Hiquiana/Mohanad Al-Houni. The same six also accounted for the six singles wins for the hosts.
The day after playing a tight 6-7, 6-4, 10-1 match against Bethel, senior
Gus Fedje-Johnston won a team-best four games in his No. 4 singles match against Punnoose, falling 6-1, 6-3.

Spencer Wick each took three games in their matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, before being defeated 6-1, 6-2.
St. Olaf continues MIAC play against the University of St. Thomas on Friday, Mar. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Owatonna Tennis Center.
