ST. PAUL, Minn. - Junior
Mackenzie Schoustra accounted for four of the St. Olaf College women's track and field team's 13 top-10 finishes, as the Oles began their outdoor season on Saturday at the Hamline Invitational at Klas Field.
Schoustra finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.08) and high jump (1.53m, 5' 0.25") and eighth in the long jump (4.83m, 15' 10.25") and javelin throw (30.53m, 100' 2").
Paige Woldt logged a pair of top-10 performances, placing sixth in the triple jump (10.18m, 33' 4.75") and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.92).
St. Olaf's top individual finish of the day came in the javelin throw, where
Kelsey Weed took fifth (31.61m, 103' 8").
The Oles had two top-10 showings in the 5,000-meter run, as
Bryony Hawgood finished seventh (18:23.14) and
Lisa Fisher was ninth (18:30.26).
Johanna Glaaser and
Ellen Mickelson each recorded seventh-place performances, with Glaaser placing seventh in the 100-meter dash (13.47), five one-hundredths of a second shy of her PR, and Mickelson in seventh in the 1,500-meter run (4:55.96) with a new PR.
Makenna Ash ran to a 10th-place finish in the 400-meter dash (59.83), while
Emily Bohlig took 10th in the long jump (4.87m, 15' 6.25").
No team scores were kept at the meet.
St. Olaf sends competitors to two different meets on Saturday, Apr. 13, with representatives going to the Lee Krough Invite at Gustavus and the University of Minnesota Spring Open.
