NORTHFIELD, Minn. – No. 16 Loras College scored twice in the second half to defeat the St. Olaf College men's soccer team, 2-0, in a non-conference contest on Sunday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.
In a scoreless game, Silvio Gzikas broke the deadlock in the 67th minute and Mitch Gullet doubled the Loras (6-0-1) lead less than five minutes later to send the Duhawks past St. Olaf (3-2-0).

Farid Sani came close to opening the scoring, firing a left-footed shot from the top of the box just wide of the right post in the 65th minute.
Just two minutes later, Gzikas flicked in an Ian Lenke cross from the right wing into the back of the net from a few yards out to get the Duhawks on the board.
Loras went ahead 2-0 in the 72nd minute when Gullet scored on a left-footed chip from near the top-left corner of the box.
St. Olaf begins Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play on Wednesday, Sept. 18 with a trip to Hamline for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
