ST. PAUL, Minn. – Senior
Mackenzie Schoustra broke into the program's top 10 in her first meet competing in the triple jump as the St. Olaf College women's track & field team competed at the St. Thomas Showcase on Friday at Anderson Recreation and Sports Center.
Schoustra jumped 10.49 meters, the eighth-best mark in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season, on her third attempt to finish fourth in the event and break into St. Olaf's top-10 list in the event in eighth. She finished one spot behind first year
Annika Muller, who was third with a jump of 10.83 meters.
Sophomore
Ellen Mickelson ran the 10th-fastest mile in the conference this season, finishing seventh in the event in 5:17.70.
First year
Christine Albrecht was the runner-up in the 800 meters with a time of 2:23.02, which is eighth-best in the MIAC this season.
First year
Teresa Pettitt-Kenney set a new PR in the high jump, clearing 1.48 meters on her final attempt at the height to finish 10th. The mark currently ranks seventh in the conference.
Senior
Lisa Fisher posted a runner-up finish in the 3,000 meters (10:51.18), while the 4x200-meter relay of team of
Katie Elstad,
Rebekah Salfer,
Laura Kammer and
Ann Jansen was also second (1:51.43).
St. Olaf hosts the St. Olaf Women's Invite on Friday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. at Tostrud Fieldhouse.
