ST. PAUL, Minn. – Spencer Wick and Michael Yousef picked up a win at No. 1 doubles for the St. Olaf College men's tennis team in an 8-1 road loss to Macalester College on Thursday afternoon at Hayden Tennis Courts.

Wick and Yousef recorded an 8-4 victory for their second win in three matches as a tandem for St. Olaf (4-4, 2-4 MIAC), which was playing its second match in as many days. Macalester (2-1, 2-1 MIAC) took a 2-1 lead into singles and won all six singles matches in straight sets.

After providing one point for the Oles in doubles, Wick and Yousef played the two closest singles matches of the afternoon as well. Wick went down 7-5, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, while Yousef fell 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

St. Olaf hosts the University of St. Thomas on Saturday, April 17 at 2:30 p.m. at Carlson Courts.
