NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Senior
Paige Woldt won the triple jump for the second time in as many meets to start the season, as the St. Olaf College women's track and field team had 11 top-three finishes in the Carleton Relays on Saturday at Laird Stadium.
After breaking the school record with a mark of 11.53 meters last Saturday, Woldt jumped 11.47 meters (37' 7 ¾") on Saturday to win the event by nearly half a meter. She also finished second in the long jump with a distance of 5.21 meters 17' 1 ¼").

Julia Everest posted St. Olaf's other event win, placing first in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:56.26, followed by senior
Tayler Paulsen in second (10:59.80).

Sam Hedtke moved into sole possession of ninth on St. Olaf's all-time list in the discus after a second-place throw of 38.37 meters (125' 11"). Hedtke, who was also second in the shot put (11.11 meters, 36' 5 ½") entered the day tied for ninth in the event in program history after a throw of 37.71 meters (123' 9") last week.
On the track, St. Olaf's 4x400-meter relay of
Bella Call,
Lauren Johnson,
Riley Mauzer, and
Lucia Wyland finished second (4:24.94), as did junior
Ellen Mickelson in the 1,500 meters (4:53.77).
The Oles had a trio of third-place finishes from sophomore
Alea Al-Juhari in the shot put (10.60m, 34' 9 ½"), junior
Samantha Posey in the 1,500 meters (4:56.30), and senior
Jena Hauch in the 800 meters (2:18.72).
St. Olaf hosts the Women's Meet of the Saints on Friday, April 23 at Manitou Track starting at 3 p.m.
