LA CROSSE, Wis. – Five members of the St. Olaf College women's track and field team competed at the UW-La Crosse Last Chance Qualifier held on Wednesday and Thursday at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
The meet was the final opportunity for
Tayler Paulsen (3,000-meter steeplechase),
Rebekah Salfer (100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles),
Jena Hauch (800-meter run),
Teresa Pettitt-Kenney (pole vault), and
Aleah Keske (discus throw, shot put) to qualify for the upcoming 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
On Wednesday, Keske placed fifth in the shot put (13.00m, 42' 8") and 12th in the discus throw (32.34m, 106' 1"), while Pettitt-Kenney tied for seventh in the pole vault (3.28m, 10' 9"). By clearing 3.28 meters, Pettitt-Kenney moved up one spot from sixth to fifth on St. Olaf's all-time list in the event.
On Thursday, Hauch was fourth in the 800-meter run (2:17.36), Salfer was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.68) and 400-meter hurdles (1:07.68), and Paulsen was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:40.60).
The qualifiers for the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be announced by press release on Friday, May 21 on NCAA.com.
