MENOMONIE, Wis. – Senior
Annika Muller won the triple jump for the third time this indoor season to lead the St. Olaf College women's track and field team's performances at the UW-Stout Quad on Friday.
Muller won the event by nearly 1.5 meters with a jump of 11.28 meters (37' 1 ¼") on her fifth attempt to place first in the triple jump in the second-straight meet she has competed in the event. The senior's performance was one of four top-five finishes for St. Olaf at the unscored meet.
Junior
Ainslee Parker recorded a third-place showing in the long jump with a mark of 4.74 meters (15' 6 ¾") on her sixth and final attempt. First years
Grace Moeller and
Lauren Walda each fourth-place finishes with personal-best times on the track, as Moeller took fourth in the one-mile run (5:12.45) and Walda was fourth in the 5,000-meter run (18:18.70).
Junior
Peyton Irsfeld moved up one spot on St. Olaf's all-time list in the weight throw, rising from eighth to seventh after finishing 10th in the event (13.27m, 43' 6 ½").
The Oles host the Tostrud Classic on Saturday, Feb. 18 in their final meet before the MIAC Indoor Championships.
