ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams both won four events in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) dual defeats at Macalester College on Saturday at Riley Pool.
Senior
Izzy Treanor won both of the diving events for the St. Olaf women in a 174-100 loss, while senior
Marcus Hauck swept the backstroke events for the men's team in a 173.5-92.5 setback. Senior

Samantha Sylvester also won events for the women, while senior
Daniel Bloedow won one for the men in addition to a first-place 200-yard medley relay.
Treanor, the reigning MIAC Women's Diver of the Year, was the lone diver to compete at the meet and posted scores of 251.00 on the one-meter board and 235.15 on the three-meter board. Thomson added a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:02.83), and Sylvester touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle (55.87).
Hauck led 1-2 finishes with junior
Avery Nevins in both the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke with winning times of 53.75 seconds and 2:03.73. Bloedow won the 200-yard butterfly by nearly eight seconds in 2:04.73. St. Olaf hosts Carleton College in the teams' annual Senior Day meet on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at Skoglund Center Natatorium. The meet is the final MIAC dual and final full meet before the MIAC Championships.
