Tuesday's other quarterfinal will see fifth-seeded Augsburg University head to the fourth-seeded College of Saint Benedict for a 7 p.m. match in St. Joseph. The winner of that match will head to top-seeded and regular-season champion Gustavus Adolphus College, while the winner between the Oles and Royals will take on second-seeded St. Catherine University. The semifinals will be played on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.

St. Olaf is making its 15th overall appearance in the MIAC Playoffs since 2000 (2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) and is 17-12 all-time in the tournament. The Oles won the MIAC Playoff title in 2000, 2002, and 2010 and has won at least won match in 12 of its 14 prior appearances.

This year marks Bethel's 17th appearance in the MIAC Playoffs and its 10th in a row dating back to 2014. The Royals hold a 13-17 all-time mark in the tournament and won their lone MIAC Playoff title in 2001.

Despite both programs being regulars in the MIAC Playoffs, Tuesday night's match will be just the third postseason meeting between the two programs. St. Olaf won both of the prior encounters in four sets, topping the Royals in the semifinals in 2002 and the quarterfinals in 2017. Bethel won the regular-season meeting by a 25-23, 25-15, 16-25, 19-25, 18-16 margin in Arden Hills on Sept. 25 in the MIAC opener for both programs.
