Mara Larson and sophomore
Ashlyn Jore posted first-place finishes in the jumps for the St. Olaf College women's track and field team at the Tostrud Classic on Saturday afternoon at Tostrud Center.
Larson won the high jump by clearing 1.56 meters (5' 1 ¼") and Jore registered the day's top mark in the long jump (5.42m, 17' 9 ½") to account for two of the Oles' three event victories at the unscored meet. The meet was the team's final preparation before next week's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Larson finished first in the high jump with fewer misses than Sarah Beth Hobby of Macalester College and has placed in the four in the event in all five meets she has competed in this season. Jore won the long jump for the second time this season and also broke onto St. Olaf's all-time list in ninth with a runner-up performance in the triple jump (10.55m, 34' 7 ½").

Ququ Holman sprinted to a first-place finish in 1:50.33, while Poore posted the top time of the day in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles (9.54) before scratching in the final. Poore's time saw her move up to a tie for eighth on St. Olaf's all-time list.

Ruth Pfeiffer recorded a runner-up performance in the 400-meter dash (1:03.31), while sophomore
Rachael Wilson did so in the 800-meter run (2:28.36). St. Olaf had two of the top-three runners in the 1,000-meter run, with sophomore
Grace Moeller taking second (3:05.08) and senior
Katie Gebert placing third (3:14.30).
The MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships come to Tostrud Center from Thursday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, Feb. 24.
