Wyatt Gabrielson qualified for the NCAA Division III Region 1 Diving Championships on the one-meter board as two members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at the Dodd Road Diving Invite on Saturday at Thorpe Pool.
Gabrielson met the qualifying standard of 425.00 points in the one-meter diving for the second time this season to earn a spot at the regional diving meet. The first year posted a season-high score of 433.60 points on 11 dives, surpassing his previous total of 431.25 points from the Jan. 27 dual against Carleton College. Gabrielson posted the top score of the day among the seven men's divers competing on the one-meter board.
Senior
Hannah Richey was in action on the three-meter board and finished 10th with a score of 304.95 points.
St. Olaf heads to the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships from Feb. 14-17.
